First Pres Missions Partners
Our vision is to empower and equip every member of FPCE to be Christ’s witnesses locally and globally. We do this by engaging with our partners; focusing on relational and cross-cultural outreach ministries in areas of disparities with vulnerable people groups (locally and internationally); focusing our funds on those serving in full time ministry, mainly in unreached areas; and providing education that is relevant and equipping in nature.
FPCE IMPLEMENTED INITIATIVES
New Life Shelter and Outreach
FPCE has a long-standing relationship with Good News Partners whose mission is to provide “Desirable, dignified housing for those in transition”.
Overnight Shelter
First Presbyterian Evanston along with Interfaith Action of Evanston hosts the Emergency Overnight Shelter for three weeks each year.
Souper Saturday
Souper Saturday was established in 1983 as a ministry of First Presbyterian Church Evanston.
Build Congo Schools
The Congo Focus Team works closely with Presbyterian church leaders and members in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to support their ministries of education
Tumekutana
Tumekutana is a Swahili word meaning “We have come together.”
First Friends
First Friends is a group at First Presbyterian created to help, welcome and befriend refugee families.
