Overview: The Souper Saturday Bread Pick Up Volunteer assists First Presbyterian Evanston in accomplishing its mission: To know Christ and to grow in him as we serve and make disciples in Evanston, the Chicago area, and the world. The person in this position ensures that baked goods are gathered and delivered for Souper Saturday gatherings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Extra baked items have been picked up from the Panera in Wilmette once per month.
  • Boxes have been loaded into a car and brought to FPCE.
  • Baked goods have been delivered to Souper Saturday volunteers for distribution at the Souper Saturday gathering.

 

Relationships, Team Composition:

The Souper Saturday Bread Pick Up Volunteer reports to the Souper Saturday Coordinator and is part of a rotating 4-person team of bread pick up volunteers.

Time Commitment: 45 Minutes per Month

  • Includes the pick up and drop off of baked goods.

Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Reliability, desire to serve behind the scenes. A car or access to a car or driver is necessary. Ability to lift boxes of baked goods is helpful.
