Overview: The First Kids Choir and Chimes Member assists First Presbyterian Evanston in accomplishing its mission: To know Christ and to grow in him as we serve and make disciples in Evanston, the Chicago area, and the world. The person in this position helps to provide a meaningful worship experience as they make a joyful noise to the Lord in worship and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Rehearsals for choir or chimes have been attended leading up to performances.
- Individual parts have been learned and practiced outside of rehearsal as necessary.
- Participation in the worship service or performance has occurred.
Relationships, Team Composition:
The First Kids Choir and Chimes Member reports to the Director of Worship and Music and is part of a 7-person team.
Time Commitment: 5 hour per performance
- Includes rehearsals and the worship service
Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Desire to assist with worship, ability to pay attention, willingness to follow instructions, ability to read. Ability to match pitch is helpful for choir members, but not necessary.
Resources, Training Provided: The Director of Music and Worship will provide training and support.
