Overview: The Church Archive Committee Member assists First Presbyterian Evanston in accomplishing its mission: To know Christ and to grow in him as we serve and make disciples in Evanston, the Chicago area, and the world. The person in this position ensures that the history of FPCE is kept and organized for preservation and easy access.

Responsibilities:

  • Church documents have been sorted, organized, and filed for preservation.
  • Systems have been crated and utilized for accessing archive information easily.
  • Research has been done when unknown items are encountered.
  • A comprehensive index has been created of archived items.

Relationships, Team Composition:

The Church Archive Committee Member reports to the Leadership Council and is part of a team of 5 archive committee members.

Time Commitment: 2-3 Hours per Month or as much as desired to complete the project.

Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Attention to detail, interest in FPCE history, ability to organize.

Resources, Training Provided: Guidance as needed.
