We love the arts! Here are a few upcoming events (some involving First Pres members) which are being organized by Director of Worship Hannah McConnell as fun and interesting outings:

Saturday, October 26, at 2 – 4:30 pm – First Pres member Robert McConnell conducts the Joffrey Ballet’s “Atonement” at Chicago’s Lyric Opera House. (Please indicate if you’re interested in one of a limited number of scholarship tickets, or to carpool to downtown Chicago.) More information at https://joffrey.org/

Sunday, November 3, at 5 – 6 pm – Northwestern University’s Bienen Contemporary/Early Chamber Choir presents its annual “Evensong” Concert at Evanston’s Alice Millar Chapel, sharing choral works of contemplation and reflection by Britten, Poulenc, and more.
