Overview: The Worship Band Member assists First Presbyterian Evanston in accomplishing its mission: To know Christ and to grow in him as we serve and make disciples in Evanston, the Chicago area, and the world. The person in this position helps to provide a meaningful worship experience through music for worship services.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly band rehearsals have been attended.
- Individual parts have been learned and practiced outside of rehearsal as necessary.
- Participation in the worship service has occurred.
Relationships, Team Composition:
The Worship Band Member reports to the Worship Band Director and is part of a 6-member team.
Time Commitment: 4-5 Hours per Week
- Includes rehearsal and the worship service.
Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Desire to lead the congregation in worship through music, ability to play instrument(s) proficiently, ability to read music and lead sheets, flexibility, desire to be part of an ensemble.
Resources, Training Provided: Rehearsals with the team and orientation by experienced members.
