Overview: The Chancel Bell Choir Member assists First Presbyterian Evanston in accomplishing its mission: To know Christ and to grow in him as we serve and make disciples in Evanston, the Chicago area, and the world. The person in this position helps to provide a meaningful worship experience through bell choir musical offerings for Sunday morning worship.
Responsibilities:
- Rehearsals have been attended with chancel bell choir.
- Individual parts have been practiced as necessary.
- Participation in the worship service has occurred.
Relationships, Team Composition:
The Chancel Bell Choir Member reports to the Director of Worship and Music and is part of a 10-member chancel bell choir.
Time Commitment: 9 Hours per performance
- Includes approximately 8 hours of rehearsal and the worship service.
Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Desire to share the gift of music with others in worship, ability to read music, ability to pick out a single part from a score, desire to be part of an ensemble, desire to serve, willingness to learn.
Resources, Training Provided: The Director of Music and Worship will provide instruction and assistance.
