Tumekutana
Tumekutana is a Swahili word meaning “We have come together.” It is a gathering of Presbyterian and Reformed Church Women Leaders from around Africa. It began in 2007 with the vision to bring women together as peers across Africa. These women who might otherwise never meet, are now able to meet for encouragement, refreshment, challenge and learning. The gathering is planned for every 3 years, and is held in rotating regions across Africa. Tumekutana is governed by a Steering Team that meets by conference call. Regional coordinators help with communication between gatherings. Tumekutana began with outreach to 16 countries. Currently 23 countries are engaged.
