Overview: The Tech Support Volunteer is willing to be available to assist staff or First Pres congregants and staff who need help with information technology or home technology which is used for ministry purposes or to participate remotely in services and events. This volunteer provides in-person assistance at First Pres and/or phone assistance to those who request it



  • Provide simple guidance for computer, printer, telephone or webcam setup or trouble-shooting.
  • Sets aside a specific time each week to be available for calls and/or emails.
  • Understands the basic operations of Zoom, email, printing, word processing, and web browsers. 

Relationships, Team Composition:

The Audio Team Member reports to the Audio/Visual Coordinator and works alongside other audio/visual support volunteers. 

Time Commitment: 2-4 Hours per Week

  • Includes phone support or in-person support at the church.

Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Experience in helping others with PC and/or Mac computer problems or setup

Resources, Training Provided: The volunteer will be able to use a phone and office at First Pres for these purposes. THE VOLUNTEER IS NOT REQUIRED TO VISIT PEOPLES’ HOMES (though may do so if they pass a background check and report their home visits to FPCE staff).
