Friends in Christ
Friends in Christ is a lay ministry helping to serve church members’ short-term needs. We make regular visits to the homebound, give occasional rides to those with mobility issues, and deliver meals to those who are facing personal challenges such as illness, the birth of a child, or the loss of a loved one. Stephen Ministry
Christ Caring for People through People. Stephen Ministers are lay people trained to care for someone going through a difficult time by listening, supporting, praying and encouraging. FPCE Parish Nurse Julie Ruchniewicz is overseeing volunteers and ministry team members who are being mobilized to meet as many of the needs as possible of those who are being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Illinois stay at home executive order.
