PILLARS OF REFORMED CHRISTIAN FAITH
Video lectures by R.C. Sproul Facilitated by Richard BellMeets in First Presbyterian Church of Evanston, Room 213, Sunday mornings at 11:30.
God laid the foundations of the church as he spoke through Scripture. Its stories, letters, poems, proverbs, and prophecies contain powerful truths that inform and instruct Christians in what they should believe and how they should live. Identifying the ways these truths connect is the province of systematic biblical theology.
This course is an overview of biblical theology in our Reformed tradition. Each class will begin with a 25-minute recorded lecture by R.C. Sproul, selected from his famous series Foundations: An Overview of Systematic Theology, and will continue with seminar-like discussion.
The Summer term starts June 18 and includes Sproul’s seven lectures on the doctrine of God: (a) Knowledge of God; (b) One in Essence; (c) Three in Person; (d) Incommunicable Attributes; (e) Communicable Attributes; (f) The Will of God; (g) Providence.
