The Book of Job: Broken Hallelujahs
“The Big Test”
Sunday, February 22, 2026
10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary & Online
This Sunday, we begin our new sermon series, The Book of Job: Broken Hallelujahs. Senior Pastor Derek Zeyl will teach from the beginning of the Book of Job.
Job 1 introduces Job as a blameless, wealthy man in Uz who fears God. Satan challenges Job’s faith, claiming he only serves God due to blessings. God allows Satan to destroy Job’s wealth and children, yet Job refuses to curse God, famously declaring, “The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
What to Expect
- Spirit-led worship with Scripture, song, and prayer
- A thoughtful, engaging sermon rooted in the teachings of Jesus
- Children’s and Youth programs available during the service
- Fellowship Hour in the lobby following worship
