CPR/AED, First Aid, and De-escalation Training Available
As part of our ongoing emergency preparedness efforts, First Pres is offering CPR/AED, First Aid, and De-escalation training to its staff and regular attendees. We are, in particular, encouraging those who serve on Sunday mornings and during other public events to be trained.
Having someone trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of automatic electronic defibrillators (CPR/AED) has already resulted in one life being saved here at First Pres within the last two years. The first aid course is a general first aid skills session. De-escalation training teaches students how to resolve conflict safely and turn chaos into calm. We have also scheduled a First Aid course in September. These sessions are available at no cost to members of the FPCE staff or congregation.
We now have two different training sessions available for CPR/AED and have added First Aid Training in September.
