Worship by the Lake
Join us for a special outdoor worship service, lake bapstisms, and all-church picnic on Sunday, August 2. We’ll gather along the beautiful Evanston lakefront for worship, communion, fellowship, and fun.

Weather permitting
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, invite a friend, and enjoy worship together in God’s creation.
Baptisms in the Lake
As part of our worship service, we’ll celebrate baptisms in Lake Michigan. If you’ve been thinking about taking this step in faith, we invite you to be baptized with us. Please contact the church office or speak with a pastor for more information.
Rain Plan
If weather conditions require us to move indoors, worship will be held at First Pres Evanston in the Sanctuary, with the picnic taking place in the gym.
All-Church Picnic
Following worship, everyone is invited to stay for food, fellowship, and community.
Help Make the Day a Success
We’re looking for volunteers to:
- Help transport supplies to and from the park
- Bring a salad, side dish, or dessert
- Assist with setup and hospitality
Parking Information
- Evanston-registered vehicles may park at the lakefront free of charge.
- Vehicles registered outside Evanston may use the lakefront pay boxes.
- Parking is also available at First Pres Evanston, approximately a 5–10 minute walk from the park.
