Donate Gifts to Join Deacons in Giving Good News Partners/New Life Shelter Guests a Christmas Celebration

Good News PartnersNew Life Shelter, a ministry of Good News Partners in Rogers Park, provides housing and care for those facing homelessness and is a longtime mission partner of First Pres Evanston.

This year, the FPCE Deacons—along with Santa Claus and his elves—are hosting a special Christmas Celebration for shelter guests on Saturday, December 20. The event will include wrapped gifts, Jewel gift cards, a catered buffet-style dinner with all the trimmings, fresh baked cookies, and plenty of fun and laughter.

How You Can Help

Because guests’ situations are often transitory, we cannot match gifts to specific individuals. Instead, we are collecting gifts by age and gender (e.g., “4-year-old boy” or “10-year-old girl”).

Pick up labels:
We will have a table set up outside Roy Hall on Sunday, December 7, before and during the All-Church Advent Workshop, where we will distribute labels to go with donated gifts (new, unopened gifts only, please).

Return gifts:
Drop gifts in the Good News Partners (GNP) box in the First Pres reception area by Friday, December 19.
