First Presbyterian Missions

Our vision is to empower and equip every member of FPCE to be Christ’s witnesses locally and globally. We do this by engaging with our partners; focusing on relational and cross-cultural outreach ministries in areas of disparities with vulnerable people groups (locally and internationally); focusing our funds on those serving in full time ministry, mainly in unreached areas; and providing education that is relevant and equipping in nature.

Mission Prayer Turkey Trip 2025

Heavenly Father, we lift up our hearts to you in gratitude as we send our church members on this mission trip to Turkey. Guide, protect, and strengthen Beth Rice, Bridgette Gilchrist, Cam Traut, Cathy Garnett, Denise Azizian, Esther Acolatse, Kon Savoy, Laurie Oh, Pam Pettibone, and Suzanne Sawada as they step out in faith.

Praises:

  • We praise you, Lord, for the opportunity for our team to walk in the footsteps of Paul and explore the origins of our Christian faith.
  • We thank you for the work of the Holy Spirit among the Persian Diaspora and for all lives being transformed through your ministry.
  • We glorify you for the leadership of Rev. Mehrdad Sajadi and Dariush Golbaghi and their teams, faithfully spreading your word.
  • We praise you for the chance to facilitate leadership development, learn from ministry leaders, and grow in spiritual wisdom.
  • We thank you for watching over their families and loved ones while they embark on this journey.

Prayers:

  • Lord, bless Beth Rice, Bridgette Gilchrist, Cam Traut, Caryl Weinberg, Cathy Garnett, Denise Azizian, Esther Acolatse, Kon Savoy, Laurie Oh, Pam Pettibone, and Suzanne Sawada with safety, good health, and spiritual growth during their trip from November 2–14.
  • We pray for the 4 members returning on November 14th, may their journey be safe and their hearts filled with joy.
  • We lift up the 7 members, extending their trip. Lord, protect them, guide their path, and bring them home safely.
  • Grant peace, comfort, and assurance to the families of all travelers as they embark on this trip.
  • Pour out your wisdom, grace, and discernment as they facilitate conferences, meet ministry leaders, and learn from the Persian-speaking diaspora.
  • May the Holy Spirit move powerfully through every encounter, inspiring faith, courage, and love.
  • Lord, help our team understand how persecution has shaped faith in the past and continues to inspire the church today, and let their hearts be transformed by this revelation.

Closing Prayer:

Gracious Father, we place this mission trip into your loving hands. Let our church members be vessels of your love, their words reflect your wisdom, and their actions honor your name. Surround them with your peace, guide them with your Spirit, and protect them throughout their journey, bringing glory to your Kingdom in Turkey and beyond. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
