First Presbyterian Missions
Our vision is to empower and equip every member of FPCE to be Christ’s witnesses locally and globally. We do this by engaging with our partners; focusing on relational and cross-cultural outreach ministries in areas of disparities with vulnerable people groups (locally and internationally); focusing our funds on those serving in full time ministry, mainly in unreached areas; and providing education that is relevant and equipping in nature.

Heavenly Father,
We lift up our church members as they prepare to travel to Ukraine and Egypt. We ask for your protection over their safety and health throughout their journey. Surround them with your angels and keep them safe from harm. Give them eyes to see what you are doing in these parts of the world. Give them the ability to focus completely on those they will be meeting, so that they may be encouraging to the people they meet, as well as learn from them.
Ukraine:
- We praise God for the faithful members of our church who are going to Ukraine to dedicate the opening of a new library, a place of hope and learning in a land affected by war.
- Thank you, Lord, for this special opportunity to serve and bring light where it is deeply needed.
- We pray for their safe journey as they leave Warsaw on August 25th and travel overnight by train, arriving in Kyiv on August 26th.
- Protect them, Lord, as they travel through dangerous areas, surround them with your peace and safety.
- Bless their time at the library dedication and all their meetings with our mission partners, Scholar Leaders, Outreach Foundation, and Frontier Fellowship.
- May your Spirit guide their words and actions, strengthening them to be a blessing to everyone they meet.
- We also lift their families and loved ones who worry: comfort them, and fill their hearts with your peace and assurance.
- Thank you, God, for going before the team, being with them every step, and using their mission to bring hope and transformation and be symbols of our solidarity with them.
Egypt
- We pray for the safety and health of our church members traveling to Egypt. Protect them on their journey and during their time there.
- We lift up their families who worry about them, comfort and reassure them with your peace.
- We pray for the university students from around the Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf regions:
- Please open doors for their visas and remove any obstacles so they can attend the conference.
- Bless the conference to go according to plan.
- May your abundant peace flow through all the people who attend.
- Fill the gathering with unity, wisdom, and fruitful fellowship.
- Encourage those students who live in countries where there is intense persecution for conversion to Christianity. Grant them courage to travel and join this gathering. Grow their faith and their relationships with other Christians so that they return with renewed hope once they are home again.
Lord, guide everyone involved and let your will be done.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
