First Presbyterian Missions

Our vision is to empower and equip every member of FPCE to be Christ’s witnesses locally and globally. We do this by engaging with our partners; focusing on relational and cross-cultural outreach ministries in areas of disparities with vulnerable people groups (locally and internationally); focusing our funds on those serving in full time ministry, mainly in unreached areas; and providing education that is relevant and equipping in nature.

MISSION PRAYER

Join us in lifting up our partner Chicagoland Prison Outreach, for their heart to share the Gospel and extend grace to those who have experienced incarceration. Through education, mentoring, and vocational training, they are building more than skills they are building lives, rooted with hope and trust in God.

Praise Points:

  • We praise God for the transformation already taking place in the lives of formerly incarcerated men and women through CPO’s carpentry training program in Evanston.
  • We praise God for the media coverage that lifted up this important work and shared it with the wider community.
  • We praise God for the dedicated mentors, volunteers, and staff who pour into this ministry with faith and compassion.
  • We Praise godl for events like the 3rd Annual Golf Outing, which draw together generous supporters and provide resources to continue this vital mission.

Prayer Points:

  • Lord, continue to bless every student in the carpentry program. As they learn to shape wood, may they also be shaped by Your Spirit into people of character, strength, and renewed purpose.
  • We pray for the success and safety of the upcoming Golf Outing.
  • May it be a joyful day of connection and giving, and may the funds raised greatly bless both CPO and The Exodus Projects.
  • Strengthen the hearts of those reentering society. Surround them with mentors, employers, and communities who reflect Your love.
  • Guide the leadership of CPO with wisdom, perseverance, and vision as they expand their programs and impact.

Above all, let every life touched by this ministry come to know Your grace, commit to Your truth, and rise as leaders in Your kingdom.
