First Presbyterian Missions

Our vision is to empower and equip every member of FPCE to be Christ’s witnesses locally and globally. We do this by engaging with our partners; focusing on relational and cross-cultural outreach ministries in areas of disparities with vulnerable people groups (locally and internationally); focusing our funds on those serving in full time ministry, mainly in unreached areas; and providing education that is relevant and equipping in nature.

Prayer of Praise and Hope in the Holy Land

God of peace and compassion, we come before you with hearts longing for healing in the land of Gaza and Israel. Let your mercy flow like rivers, bringing comfort, restoration, and lasting peace to all who suffer.

Praises

  • We praise you, Lord, for hearing the cries of the innocent and allowing peace to take root.
  • We thank you for the ceasefire now in effect and for the release of all 20 living Israeli hostages by Hamas.
  • We are grateful that, in exchange, over 1,900 Palestinian prisoners and detainees have been set free.
  • We praise you, Lord, for opening the doors for food, medicine, and shelter to reach those in need.
  • We thank you for every volunteer, doctor, and peace worker serving amid destruction and pain.

Prayers

  • Lord, let this ceasefire deepen into lasting reconciliation and true peace.
  • Bring healing to each hostage, prisoner, and their families.
  • Protect the families returning to their shattered homes, comfort those who mourn.
  • Strengthen the hands of aid workers and bless the UN’s efforts to bring relief.
  • Bring wisdom to leaders and soften hearts hardened by conflict and fear.
  • Restore safety, justice, and dignity for all your children in the land.
  • Let healing rise where hatred once ruled, allowing your peace to endure.

God of mercy, turn mourning into dancing and ruins into hope. Let nations see your hand of healing, and may your peace reign over Gaza and Israel alike.

Psalm 126:1–3 (NLT)
When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream!
We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”
Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!
