First Presbyterian Missions
Our vision is to empower and equip every member of FPCE to be Christ’s witnesses locally and globally. We do this by engaging with our partners; focusing on relational and cross-cultural outreach ministries in areas of disparities with vulnerable people groups (locally and internationally); focusing our funds on those serving in full time ministry, mainly in unreached areas; and providing education that is relevant and equipping in nature.
MISSION PRAYER

July 14th, 2025
Partner in Mission – First Presbyterian Church of Evanston EMMAUS Ministry in Chicago courageously steps into this darkness to bring light, hope, and dignity to men and boys who have been victimized. Through outreach, support, therapy, and prayer, EMMAUS helps survivors rebuild their lives with the truth of Christ’s love.
Praise Points:
- We praise God for leading EMMAUS's faithful ministry for over 30 years to male survivors of exploitation.
- We Praise God for the healing that happens daily through trauma- informed care, spiritual support, and safe community.
- We praise God for the faithful outreach teams and volunteers who boldly serve on the streets, online, and in crisis situations.
- We praise God for the growing awareness of male victimization and for EMMAUS’s role in leading this crucial conversation with truth and compassion.
Prayer Points:
- Lord, strengthen the EMMAUS team with endurance, wisdom, and compassion as they walk alongside survivors on the road to healing.
- Cover every man and boy who has suffered in silence with your peace, and bring them into places of refuge and restoration.
- Bless the Drop-In Center and all direct service efforts may they be places of safety, transformation, and hope.
- Provide EMMAUS with the resources, staff, and prayer support needed to continue and expand their mission.
- Let the love of Jesus be seen clearly in every interaction, every outreach, and every act of kindness extended in His name.
Closing:
God of justice and mercy, thank You for the light EMMAUS brings to those who have long walked in the shadows. Empower us, as a church, to stand beside them in prayer, support, and love. Use this partnership to bring freedom to the captives and wholeness to the brokenhearted.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
