This Christmas Eve, our offering will support two congregations in the West Bank: Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, led by Pastor Rev. Ashraf Tannous, and the Church of Hope in Ramallah, led by Pastor Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac.
The Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem bears faithful witness to Christ’s birth through worship, service, and steadfast presence in the land where Jesus was born. The church nurtures the local Christian community, provides education and social support programs, and welcomes visitors from around the world to share in the message of hope and peace.
The Church of Hope in Ramallah serves as a center of faith, education, and community outreach. It offers programs for children, youth, and families, supports local ministries, and stands as a beacon of resilience and hope for Palestinian Christians.
For over 25 years, First Presbyterian Church of Evanston has shared a sister-church relationship with Christmas Lutheran Church. With Rev. Isaac having moved from there to Church of Hope, we will grow our relationship with that congregation through prayer and visits, celebrating milestones, strengthening ministries, and deepening friendships.
You may put cash or checks (made payable to First Presbyterian Church, Evanston) in the offering plate.
THANK YOU!
