Overview: The Audio Visual Volunteer assists First Presbyterian Evanston in accomplishing its mission: To know Christ and to grow in him as we serve and make disciples in Evanston, the Chicago area, and the world. The person in this position ensures that Sunday morning AV tech runs smoothly during the worship service AND/OR helps with Christian Education technology on Sundays or for other special events.

 

Responsibilities:

This volunteer will help with some or all of the following depending upon interest and experience:

  • Confirms AV equipment has been set up before the service.
  • Assists, as needed with, turning on projectors, kiosk screens, televisions, computers and/or other audio equipment.
  • Works with FPCE staff and other lay people in the effort to make all our technology work as seamlessly and effectively as possible.

 

Relationships, Team Composition:

The Audio Team Member reports to the Audio/Visual Coordinator and works alongside other audio/visual support volunteers. 

Time Commitment: 2-4 Hours per Week

  • May includes setup prior to the service or event, help during the worship service or event, and/or cleanup

Special Talents, Skills Preferred: Interest in audio visual equipment like projectors, smart TVs, computers, Zoom webcams, and has a desire to serve, and a willingness to learn. 

 

Resources, Training Provided: The Audio/Visual Coordinator or Director of Communications will provide orientation, supervision, and training on FPCE specific equipment.
